Beginner Mission Part 2: Schools And Three Letters

Levels 8 to 10. The route pauses again at levels 9 and 10.

Story

The final beginner lessons introduce the schools, life skills, and the three officials whose investigations continue across the world.

Before You Start

• Keep at least one bag slot open before the level 10 conversation with Zhao Yan Nian. The three Letters enter one stack.
• Open the Life Skill window and confirm that Survival Skill can make one Bun. It costs 30 Stamina and requires no ingredient.

Route

1. 1Complete the Pioneer Counsellor’s school lesson and answer the six quiz questions.
2. 2Speak with Mr Know-It-All when the Pioneer Counsellor sends you to him, then return to the Pioneer Counsellor.
3. 3Reach level 9 and receive the letter for Zhao Yan Nian.
4. 4Give the letter to Zhao Yan Nian at BianJing (161/179).
5. 5Craft one Bun with Survival Skill and give the Bun to Zhao Yan Nian at BianJing (161/179).
6. 6Reach level 10 and speak with Zhao Yan Nian again. Make sure one bag slot is free before he gives you three Letters in one stack.
7. 7Return to the Pioneer Counsellor, then deliver the three Letters in any order.
8. 8Deliver one Letter to Kou Zhun at BianJing (177/174). This opens the route to Gong Sun Shu.
9. 9Deliver one Letter to Wang Ye Wei at QuanZhou (196/185). This opens the route to Xia Hou Qin.
10. 10Deliver one Letter to Fan Zhong Yan at South of ChengDu (196/182). This opens the South of ChengDu mission.

Rewards

• The final lessons award 1,690 EXP, 300 Silver, 12 reputation, character-appropriate head armor, and character-appropriate leg armor.
• The three letters unlock the BianJing, QuanZhou, and South of ChengDu regional stories.

If Progress Stops

• The school quiz answers are: 7 schools, Sword Branch, Chief, Zither, 3 branches, and Fist.
• Zhao Yan Nian consumes one Bun from your bag. Crafting it is not enough if the Bun is no longer in your inventory.
• Do not speak with Zhao Yan Nian at level 10 while your bag is full. If the Letters cannot enter your bag, the quest still advances and the normal dialogue does not replace them.
• You may deliver the three letters in any order. The Beginner Mission closes only after Kou Zhun, Wang Ye Wei, and Fan Zhong Yan have each received one.
