Fan Zhong Yan’s South of ChengDu Mission Part 3: The Broken Letter
Rebuild the Wumeng letter, defeat three Liangshan leaders, and recover Bronze Fragments from Shaolin.

Recommended level 28 or higher. This arc includes grouped enemies and Shaolin Secret Chamber 2.
Story
The broken letter points through Wumeng enemies and Liangshan before Shaolin reveals the metal fragments tied to the plot.
Before You Start
- Keep room for the Envelop, Letter paper I, Letter paper II, Letter paper III, Letter paper IV, and 8 Pieces of copper.
- Bring enough healing for the Liangshan leaders and the Copper Creatures in Shaolin Secret Chamber 2.
Route
- 1Collect 4 Corvine feather from Black Crows in Jiangjin Village.
- 2Defeat a Wumeng Maiden, Tribesman, or Warrior until you receive the Envelop.
- 3Defeat a Wumeng Maiden for Letter paper I, two Wumeng Tribesmen for Letter paper II and Letter paper III, and a Wumeng Warrior for Letter paper IV.
- 4Bring the Envelop and four letter papers to Song Jiang at Liang Shan Po (189/172).
- 5Defeat Song Wan, Lee Li, and Missus Gu, then return to Song Jiang.
- 6Speak with the Shaolin Chief Abbot at Shaolin (199/198).
- 7Enter Shaolin Secret Chamber 2 and collect 8 Pieces of copper from Copper Creatures.
- 8Return the fragments to the Shaolin Chief Abbot, then report to Zhu Ge Qi at South of ChengDu (197/197).
Rewards
- This part awards 38,872 EXP, 19,436 Silver, 112 reputation, character-appropriate level 32 leg armor, level 35 chest armor, and level 38 head armor.
If Progress Stops
- Defeat a Wumeng Maiden, Tribesman, or Warrior to receive the Envelop.
- Collect Letter paper I from a Wumeng Maiden, Letter paper II and Letter paper III from two Wumeng Tribesman kills, and Letter paper IV from a Wumeng Warrior.
- Song Jiang takes the Envelop and all four letter papers only after Song Wan, Lee Li, and Missus Gu have all been defeated.
